An Optimistic Outlook on PL (For those who are losing hope)

Dear players,

I know all of us get frustrated sometimes, myself included. Lately, what I've done to renew my hope for PL and the company we all love...or hate: SpaceTime Studios is go back and create a list of the positive changes that developers have made in PL that we enjoy today.

These things, while may be small updates, are things that we take for granted today. If anyone would like to add to this list, simply post below and I will add it to the original post!

Now, without further adieu, the list!

Positive Changes Brought to PL by the Developers

• 5 platinum for mostly all the vanity hats in store, excluding the various OCD helms (They used to be 20+ platinum a piece!)
• 5 platinum full respec (Skills + Attributes) was broken down to 2 platinum per respec & you could choose which one you wanted to respec! For many, this provided a way cheaper opportunity to test builds.
• Founder's Helms & Shields of Gratitudes given to those who supported them by buying the main spine. (Note: Founders Helm was given to those who had an account registration date from April 1, 2010-May 31, 2010)
• Main Spine made free
• Vanity sets (An incentive to reach the elite cap!)
• Elite Dungeons
• Balancing of PvP multiple times! (I realize they haven't rebalanced it in a while, but they have done so in the past!)
• Daily Blessings! (This was to those who complained platinum elixirs was the only way to level fast!)
• Tournaments giving away huge amounts of platinum
• Forum Contests that gave exclusive items!
• Holiday Events! So what if they're reused yearly? They bring excitement to PL and a refreshing chance.
• Double Weekends! (To encourage the PL community to come together and log in extra hours playing Pocket Legends!)
• The addition of guilds! (This provided a more community feel for many players!)
• Veteran vanity sets!
• Free Elixirs given from time to time (Classy Looter)
• Got rid of OP CoP Vanity Set and brought us dragon sets and elite rings which everyone could achieve
• Promo Code Vanities
• Nightmare Antennae Event
• Frozen Crown of Gratitude
• New Classes (Rhino & Fox)
• Supporting twinks (They made the pink packs for you guys! In the 1st generation of twinking, there were only pink weapons and pink armors. An int bear with a darkbolt blaster and Forest Chain of Legend wreaked havoc on L19 PvP)


Last but not least...

• They gave you PL! The world's first full fledged mobile MMO released on iOS and Android devices!

Good thread. I was just pming with a dev and they said they are very aware about our situation and they are trying. But al is bringing in a ton of cash so they gotta grow that as fast as they can.
But they are gonna help us eventually.

Often the give free elixirs like Classy looters, week long 2x xp. Also the have given free platinum as a thanks, and free respec weekends.
Dragon vanity rings were a way of fixing the "unfair" cop stats.

Don't we all? DL went out fast, SL too, and now PL. pretty soon there's gonna be ANOTHER GAME, or sts will put work into one of the previous games, and AL will be out like a light.

Oh yeah, add the frozen crown of gratitude ( I think that was for buying all pvp maps before they were free).
Along with the double xp weekends there have been double damage weekends.
Could also add the forgotten event even though someone will think I'm trolling with that one ;D

How about the addition of the consignment store? i assume people on forums brought that change about (I only lurked on forums back then ...still do). Something we take for granted now. I used to delete pinks because I was too shy to stand in town shouting out prices. Best modification ever!

Everything depends on point of view, if anyone wanna find negetive points there are many, as nothing is perfect.

But yes apollo, you missed the biggest positive point that is -
Devs gave us, world's first WORLD CLASS cross platform 3D mobile mmo for absolutely free, one can download and play the whole game without spending a single dime.

Secondly, in past sts worked pretty much hard to polish the game, as it is now, it's well earned world's biggest mobile 3d mmo

For the first 12 months of release from April 2010-11, Pocket Legends was updated over 200 times and patched on average x1.7 daily.

Also, I think at one point all the exliers costed plat, and sometime around when Sewers was the highest level, they made gold exliers.

Not true, they could always be purchased for either platinum or gold.

Meh, we always have pessimists. (on a serious note....)

However, I found that none of those reasons could even be compared to the amount of friends/fun I had on forums/in game.
It's truly the Multiplayer aspect and interactive ability that makes this game outstanding.

Actually, the 2x and 3x were once purchasable with gold as well.
Then there was a patch during the early Sewer age that took away all gold-purchasable options.
It was only later that the 1.5x Gold Elixir option came back.

It seems like STS should have taken away gold 3x elixirs earlier, based on the amount of $$ they generate from elixirs alone these days.

You mention elite dungeons, which created some chances for some highly collectible items. Some of the most liked items today come from them, like the wave twister staff and Phoenix bow. Also, I'm not sure if its really just another "elite dungeon" but they did a preview of BSM which had the now not as popular fire weapons (from the super long ichor quest) and the still very valuable black dragon sets.
