Default What is up with the 1000 snowballs quest

What is up with the 1000 snowballs quest? I find it dumb because I went through the whole dungeon with a level 76 and I only got 4 snowballs. it sucks how it is a main quest after the sandstone caves.

Some species of dog have a slightly different morphology to the mandible, commonly called "lock jaw". Once the teeth are sunk in next to nothing will dislodge the grip.
    Some gamers exhibit similarities.

I've done that quest 6 times. Map 4 is your friend.

Exactly, hint: Snowballs, the map "snowball." People never learn.

    Why 6 ?
Three times both would be enough to get all Black Ice weps.

I may have two toons listed in my sig, but I have had many "mains." I've also done the Cyber quests 7 times.

    Ahhhhh, the good ole' days.

This is what I call hardcore/patience!
I own only two Black Ice pairs at moment but all Cyber Sets including the farmable pieces.
What about the Mystery Sets ? Do they count as "patient quests" as well, like Snowballs/Cyber or Ichor ?

The map "Snowball" in the Frozen Nightmare dungeon gives a lot of Snowballs and/or pelts

I admit, the quest is VERY tedious, but I think that it was specifically designed to be that way. As others have said, it's an elite quest, so it's meant to be difficult. My advice is to get a team of your freinds, and continuously go through the level. The levels seem to go by so much faster with a group of friends.

Do the stage called snowball. Coming from someone who has done all the quests on all 3 of my toons, if you think snowballs is tough, try the entire cyber, or elite dragon quests. And I did those 3 times. Or one of the most patience testing quests, the Ichor quest.

I don't think Mystery counts, you can finish all the parts of the quest well before you hit the level cap, IIRC (It's a been a little while since I did the Mystery sets the first time).

I don't think Cyber is as bad as Snowball. The Cyber rewards are a lot better than the Black Ice ones, plus you'll wind up with a lot of other pinks during the quest, most of which are very effective items in their own right.

Before Cyber was nerfed, trust me, it was worse than Snowball.

I haven't even done all the Cyber quests on my bird, it's still very annoying.

I did it on my mage way back then and yeah I agree.

The whole quest took me (on my level 50) with two or three friends who were like 66 and 56 and 45 about 4 1/2 hours. There really isn't anything elite about it. It just takes some patience and knowing which map to join
