Nah, Larry Sanders for Most Improved.

You obviously hate Lebron because he dominates the game in all aspects, not just jump shots like KD.

Larry Sanders is having a monster year..
I'm starting to have more respect for Lebron.
KD is having a career year compared to last year and previous years.

You're a Rockets fan, no? 3 Rockets in Top Performers...

And just because you hate LeBron doesn't mean you exclude him. He's arguably the best player on the planet right now.

Personally, I think Jarret Jack should have won 6th Man. Not as many people know about what he's done this year because the Warriors are in a smaller market whereas JR and Crawford are in NY and LA, respectively. I think he led the league in double-doubles off the bench, right?

I've lived in Houston for about 9 years I believe. (I've met Chandler Parsons before.)
    Rockets for life.

Jarrett Jack is a scoring machine!
Too bad JR Smith got the 6th man.

Top 5 players in the game right now:

    1. LBJ - He needs NO explanation. May be the most rounded player ever.
    2. KD - Excellent scorer. Lacks the overall game to take over Lebron.
    3. D-Wade - Some argue, at times, he is the best player in the league. His selflessness to bring in Lebron and Bosh puts him here.
    4. Carmelo - Like KD, one of the best pure scorers in the league. BUT, not the shooter KD is.
    5. CP3 - As a Carolina fan, I hate putting a Demon Deacon here, but there is no denying he is the best point guard in the league ATM.

    Sixth Man:

These are too hard to tell as you have to watch A LOT of bball to truly gauge this. No clue but you can't go wrong with Sanders, Smith, and even Ray Allen can be thrown in there now. Also watch for Andre Miller's name to be thrown out here.

    Rookie:

Damian Lillard. Don't think it is debatable. Saw him play in Atlanta this year and the kid has "it."

    Most Improved:

    Who knows.

Edited my 3rd person since I failed and thought I wrote "Top 5 Players"
I have to disagree wit you on CP3.
    Kyrie Irving is the best.
He has broken more ankles in his career than Brian Scalabrine has scored points in his entire life.

If you use "breaking ankles" as measuring stick for point guards, then you seriously need to analyze your decision making skills. John Stockton, not an ankle breaker. Magic Johnson, NOT an ankle breaker. But what they have which CP3 has is the elite vision and decision making skills. Kyrie is a good PG and is rapidly improving, but he is more in the mold of a Penny Hardaway ATM.

Now days most points such as CP3 and Kyrie both "Break Ankles"
Most people look at there ball handling skills.
I'm not excellent at analyzing "Old School" basketball.
    Penny was Tim's brother?

In my experience, sports threads are usually locked because people tend to get a wee bit passionate about their opinions. As a result, it tends to escalate into a flame war. The only thing needed to ignite it is one wrong comment.

If you knew that, why make a thread that is likely to escalate into a flame war? Plus, I'm surprised Crimson restrained himself when you mentioned his age like it was a negative quality (as indicated by the elipsis).

Learn to respectfully disagree. Plus, you accused them of jumping onto the bandwagon.

    All I said was "36?"
I never made fun of him because of his age.
    Crimson is cool.

Edited a little, but we can discuss via PM as I don't want to derail this thread further.

EDIT: Ah, never mind, I slightly misunderstood your replies due to the short nature of them.

"Good while it lasts" has multiple connotations, as do many short simple sentences.

CP3 doesn't really cross many defenders too much. Yes ball handling is important but isn't the only facet to be considered an elite PG in the game. CP3 makes his teammates around him better and can be considered one of the better leaders that we have in the game right now.

And no, Penny and Tim have no relation.

I do in fact believe CP3 is one of the elite PG's in the league.
Rondo still leads the league in assist when he's been out half the season.

    1) CP3
    2) Rajon Rondo
    3) Kyrie Irving

When I say "Good white it lasts"
I mean that the thread is good until it locks because you said hat most sport threads get locked due to the flaming.

Ah, see, that's way more understandable.

Such a simply worded sentence leaves out details which then can cause the reader to misinterpret the intention of your post.

    Example: Me!

When D. Rose comes back, he is clearly #2 and bumps Rondo to #3. Kyrie still has to prove he is not a second year wonder. I would also put Deron Williams ahead of Rondo because Rondo can't throw a ball in the ocean and hit it. Worst shooting PG in a long time.
