Default [Guide] How to play AL in Chrome again :)

Past these days, AL or any other Legends Games are not opening well. Sometimes it stuck at a certain percent, mostly at 92% or just the chrome will crash. The cause is that of the new updated Google Chrome. In order to play, we're using the old chrome browser.

So here, Im trying to help you on how to play Chrome again. Mr H2N and Glasveena helped me a lot to play AL again
Im just posting printscreens for you to understand well Visuals are better than reading.

    Steps:

shortcut *If you are nerd enough: Computer>Local Disk C (or any other drive) > Program Files > Google > Chrome > Application > old_chrome

    ------

    1. Where did you download your Google Chrome? Is it on drive c? or drive d? In my pc, I downloaded it in drive C. If you do, just follow these steps, or if it's in other drive just find it and proceed to step 3.
    Follow this one.

    - After opening "old_chrome" or "old_chrome.exe" , open Arcane Legends app.

    - There would be loading but it should snap Something like this:

Uh-oh! Chrome failed to start our game. Press this button to see the updated news on this issue!

    - Now follow these steps by sts support :

    http://support.spacetimestudios.com/...rt-our-game%22

    or

    http://support.spacetimestudios.com/...-google-chrome

    (first link worked for me)

*If you dont want to open that link, just type about:flag in search bar click activate in gpu , relaunch chrome, open again gpu - click default then relaunch again. Open AL. It should work now.

    7. Voila!

*The new update of Chrome is the cause why AL in chrome is not working. The update is automatic , so we don't know when it updates. So in order for us to use that old_chrome exe and not updating it , open chrome://plugins/ then disable Google update.

    Hope it works

credits to mr H2N and Glasveena

*Post here if it works or not. We can help you.

    Edit -

NB: If you don't find the old_chrome.exe , just uninstall chrome and download this version :

Very helpful, however, I couldn't find the Chrome folder in the Program Files>Google, only have these 2 folders, Update and Crash Reports?

Any ideas where I can find it?

    It's working now, here's what I did:

Uninstalled my current chrome, downloaded this version 26.0.1410.43_chrome_installer, reinstalled, voila it ran, no more patching.

The problem doesn't seem be with just STS Chrome Native Client games. Someone posted in chat that it was happening with other non-STS Chrome Native Client games as well. See http://www.spacetimestudios.com/show...83#post1108383

Uninstalled & reinstalled chrome and also did what STS wrote and it still stuck at 92%.

When i reinstalled chrome it shows me im on the newest version of chrome...but i downloaded & installed the old chrome version "26.0.1410.3_chrome_installer"

Chrome automatically updates the old version... Any suggestion?

    Default Google Chrome automatic update

SOLUTION FOR ALL PEOPLE WITH THE GOOGLE CHROME AUTO-UPDATE PROBLEM

First, thanks to Greencrow for this thread.
It took me a while but now it works like before the update.

After installing the old Chrome Version (26.0.1410.3_chrome_installer) i had the problem that it gets instantly updated by Google Updater.
I had no old_chrome(.exe) in the folder so i decided to uninstall & reinstall my Chrome.

This is how i did it.

    1) Uninstall Google Chrome & restart your computer
    2) Download an old Google Chrome standalone Version (http://tinyurl.com/p4dnvxx)
    3) Shut down your internet connection and install the Google Chrome standalone Version
    4) Press [WINDOWS-KEY]+[R] and type in msconfig -> Startup -> Disable GoogleUpdater.exe
    5) Vista/7: Press [WINDOWS-KEY]+[R] again and type in taskschd.msc -> delete all Google Chrome Tasks
5.1) XP: Go to Control Panel -> got to Schedule Task -> delete all Google Chrome Tasks
    6) Where did you install Google Chrome? (Mine is in C: Programs -> Google)
6.1) Go to the Update folder and delete GoogleUpdate(.exe) IF you want you can do the difficult way...however, it is not necessary (Wowsome link: http://tinyurl.com/p3xldjf) You have to do this because the GoogleUpdate(.exe) can check for an update EVEN when you disabled it in the Startup (Point 4)!!!
    6) Restart your internet connection and open Google Chrome
    7) As soon as Google Chrome starts type about: plugins in the search bar - search for "Google Update" and deactivate it
    8) Open AL - you'll get the information "Uh-oh! Chrome failed to start our game. Press this button to see the updated news on this issue!"
    9) Follow the steps by STS: http://support.spacetimestudios.com/...rt-our-game%22 or http://support.spacetimestudios.com/...-google-chrome
(the first one worked for me: type about:flags in the search bar -> activate GPU -> relaunch Chrome -> set it back on default -> relaunch Chrome)
    10) Open AL again and (hopefully) be happy
