Ripmaw or Slag?

Which pet (Ripmaw or Slag) do you think is better? I'm a level 30 mage and I mostly PvE.

Rip/Hammerjaw is rather for Warriors,
i suggest taking Slag as well.

If I were you, I'd take Slag. It gives you better all around stats and helps you contribute you more to the party as far as damage is concerned.
