How to begin:
To start your journey into Festerfang, head to the Chancel of Light and talk to the Festerfang Expansion Guide. She'll give you a quest to find your way to the swamp.
Environments:
- New Town (Festerfang Outpost)
- New random dungeon (Festerfang Marsh)
- New cyclically opening dungeon (The Deep Marsh)
- 2 raid dungeons (4 and 8 person) with new boss mechanics (Elite Festerfangs)
- New Spirit Swamp (Easy Festerfang for levelling up Spirit Weapons)
Festerfang Outpost
All activity surrounding Festerfang begins at the Outpost. Festerfang Outpost is filled with quest NPCs, and special brawling arena in the center!
Brawling Arena:
Here 3 different groups of players can fight in all-out PvP in town!
- Red Reef Faction - Join the Red Reef to band together and fight against the Blue Bayou in town.
- Blue Bayou Faction - Or join the Blue Bayou side to fight against the Red Reef.
- Factionless - These players have no affiliation and fight everyone who comes their way (including other Factionless).
To join a Faction, speak to the respective Leader of that faction. You can change between the Red Reef and Blue Bayou, but you cannot go back to Factionless.
Note: Kills/deaths in Festerfang Outpost do not count towards your k/d
Festerfang Swamp
The Festerfang Swamp is the new main dungeon of the Festerfang Expansion. Randomized, the dungeon gives a new experience each time you enter.
Here you'll fight against the Reptus and their commanders for loot and collect tokens.
The Deep Marsh
The Deep Marsh is the cyclical content of the Festerfang Expansion. By defeating Reptus and their commanders players will disturb creatures buried in the Deep Marsh. With enough disturbance the Deep Marsh will become accessible.
The Deep Marsh is advanced content, only containing monsters at Level 71 that have increased strength compared to Festerfang Swamp.
The Spirit Swamp
If players are lucky enough to stumble across a Spirit Marsh Attunement Elixir, Shen'kor at Festerfang Outpost can bring them to a special weakened version of Festerfang Marsh, where players can more easily level up their Spirit Weapons (more on these later!)
Raid Dungeons
The most difficult content within AL now exists as Raid dungeons! To support multiple playstyles, we have introduced 2 types of raids in Festerfang, the Infested Swamp and the Hydra's Bog. Rewards from these dungeons will be the same so players can find the fight that best suits their playstyle and friends.
Note: We aren't kidding when we say the Raids are intended to be the hardest content. The expected gear and requirements for these dungeons are very high.
The Infested Swamp
A 4 person battle against Fly Lord Orrick, the Infested Swamp requires a high degree of coordination and teamwork to solve the mechanics and defeat Orrick.
The Hydra's Bog
Gather 8 adventurers and take on Shevra, the Swamp Hydra in a massive battle. Can all 8 of you work together and take the Hydra down?

Ultimates
Players at level 67 can unlock Ultimate Abilities for their class. Each class will have 3 Ultimate Ability Choices, and can only use 1. It will cost 10 skill points to unlock the Ultimate Ability. Ultimate will be displayed as a bar on the players HUD and must be charged to full before the Ultimate becomes available.
Players need stacks of charge for their ultimate to be ready to cast
Stacks are gained from:
- Contributing to an Enemy Kill
- Killing blow on an Enemy
- Damage taken
- Passively (while in combat)
When the Ultimate is Charged, players tap the ability icon (6 on the keyboard for Chrome) to fire it off. Firing of the Ultimate still takes into account the cooldown timer for the Ultimate Ability.
Once the Ultimate has been cast, players cannot receive stacks for a time. Once this timer is gone players can start building their ultimate back up again
Ultimate Ability Categories:
Each class has 3 Ultimates that fall into specific categories
Rogue
(Offensive) Ultimate Aimed Shot: Super high damage single target ability
(Defensive) Medicinal Herb: The Rogue eats an herb which regenerates a large percentage of the Rogue's health every second for a time
(Support) Refuel: The Rogue and all allies receive no longer use mana to cast abilities for a time and gain a movement speed boost.
Sorcerer
(Offensive) Meteor Strike: A giant fireball rains from the sky in a large area, dealing massive damage to all enemies hit
(Defensive) Grand Protection: The Sorcerer blesses himself with an immense shield, preventing all damage until it breaks
(Support) Energize: All allies are empowered, allowing skills to recharge more quickly for a time
Warrior
(Offensive) Rage: Multiply your STR for a time
(Defensive) Immortal: The Warrior Screams out, Constantly taunting all nearby enemies while making himself immune to damage for a time
(Support) Reflective Barrier: The Warrior blesses himself and allies with great damage reflection and increased health for a time
Spirit Gear
Spirit Gear is a new rarity coming to Arcane Legends. These are weapons and armor that grow in power as you defeat enemies in Festerfang content. The power of this gear starts out at the level of Rares and Epics, but when at max level these weapons will have the strength you expect from Mythics.
Spirit Gear can be purchased from Pierre Boudreaux in Festerfang Outpost for Murkstones, the new currency that drops in Festerfang Swamp.
Here are their stats at max level:
XP Combo System
In the Festerfang Dungeons, we have added a new XP Combo System. This only applies within the Festerfang Dungeons and rewards players for killing enemies quickly.
If you can kill 5 enemies within 10 seconds, you will receive a 35% XP buff for 10 seconds.
If you can kill 25 enemies within 10 seconds, you will receive a 100% XP buff for 30 seconds.
When you have received an XP buff, you cannot receive the same or lesser XP buff until it has completely worn off.
This buff is applied to the entire party when the threshold is met.
Badges
As a new form of Achievement, badges have been brought to Arcane Legends. From your Avatar page you can choose to display any of the badges you have unlocked.
On release of Festerfang only 3 badges will be available, so make sure to work hard to earn these exclusive badges!
Cyclical Leaderboards
One of the exciting features we have in Festerfang is the ability to create leaderboards that automatically reset. On release of Festerfang, you will notice 4 new leaderboards added: Infested Swamps Pure/Enhanced and The Hydra's Bog Pure/Enhanced. Every month these leaderboards will automatically grant rewards to their winners and reset all times.
The rewards for these leaderboards are exclusive badges you can wear, but will be removed at the end of the month when the leaderboard resets. If you want to keep your badge, make sure to place on top of the leaderboard the next month as well!
Marriage
Are you hearing wedding bells, because all of Arlor is! Share your AL life with someone special in our new Marriage system.
To get married, first you have to acquire a ring! There are 4 wedding rings available in Arlor:
- 1 Carat Wedding Ring - Available for purchase from the Wedding Ring Vendor in Windmoore
- 18 Carat Wedding Ring - Available for purchase from the Wedding Ring Vendor in Windmoore
- Heart of Darkness Wedding Band - Crafted using the 18 Carat Wedding Ring and other materials dropped in Arlor
- Entangled Love Wedding Band - Crafted using the 1 Carat Wedding Ring and other materials dropped in Arlor
Once you have your wedding ring, tap on the player you want to propose to and select the Propose option. If that player accepts your proposal you'll be happily married, a message will be broadcast to all of Arlor, you'll unlock Spouse Chat which is a separate channel for tells between you and your spouse, and the ring use for the proposal will be shown on your Avatar page.
Notes:
- Your ring will be consumed when your proposal is accepted.
- If you have multiple rings in your inventory when proposing, the rarest ring will be used.
- If you don't have the ring on you when the other player tries to accept the proposal, it will fail.
Deluxe Chat
Chat in AL has been upgraded! Now when you open the chat window, you'll see tabs for All Chat, Guild, Party, and Private. Use these to help sort your communication in game.

Percent Health Damage weapons
As was advertised, weapons that deal a percentage of the enemy's health as damage have had limits put on their damage values. These limits reflect the amount of damage these weapons can currently do at Level 66. This will help pave the way for weapons going forward to surpass these weapons in power, and prevent the issue of bosses with more health becoming more susceptible to these weapons.
Fastcap Banner to Level 71
On expansion release, if you can reach the new level cap of Level 71 within 5 days, you will receive a special banner to commemorate your achievement.
First to 71 Badge
If 5 days sounds like way too long to reach level cap to you, we have a special reward for the first 10 players (overall) to reach Level 71. A special badge that will remain with you forever!
Locked Marshland Crate
Festerfang comes with a new locked crate! Replacing the Twilight Crates and dropping within Festerfang Content, the Locked Marshland Crate contains a bunch of goodies.

Expansion Roadmap
Players will notice on expansion release that some items seem to be missing. The Mireguard Set only has 2 pieces. There's only Necklace and Ring for the Arcane items. This is because we will be slowly rolling out the most powerful items in the expansion over time. As yearly events come around (Halloween, Winter, Goblin, Ursoth) more pieces of the Mireguard Set and Arcane weapons will be added into the game, first as part of the events, and then later as permanent additions to the Deep Marsh and Raid Bosses.
