Why crate keys beeing manipulated by sts?
Few weeks ago crate keys was 150 plat, now they are 50. They from 10m each gold, decrease to 5m gold. Why we get this manipulated? Like if someone would buy them now for 5m, and sell after 3-4 months for 10m, they will make gold without doing anything. Is this thing normal? I don t thing this thing should be manipulated.
like real life, the government can do what it sees fit with what it can modify, in this case platinum.

They wanted to drain the excess keys in the market while testing to see how many would be bought at a high price point. I do not think they will change prices again, and they are where they should be(Same price as plat).
But still making them 3 times higher than normal price, and after dropped back to normal price is too much. Maybe they should make crate keys sale every 2-3 months, so don t have excess of keys in the game.Originally Posted by Switchback

Is not about this. When 50 crate keys was 150 platinum, their price of course rise to 10m +, but before they rise the price their price was 50 platinum from store. So basically those who had crate keys before they made them 150 platinum, they double their gold, by selling with 10m. They keepe the higher price in store at 150 platinum for 1-2 months, and now they drop it again. Now let me ask you, if we get again in half of year same rise of crate keys, those who buy now they double their gold, by dooing nothing?

Look at most items that raise with time.
Like LB items. Start 1-2b. Now 4b+.
Another thing it being able to hold equity in items waiting for prices to rise.
Platinum eggs are 500k-1m each during event.
Half a year later, they sell at 1.7m each.
I could buy lets say, 2 stacks, and double my gold.
It's simple, and how many people get rich.

I don t thing we should compare items from game with something that we get each month in the store. Of course platinum eggs would be cheap when event is, and of course their price would rise after it, because we get only one easter event per year. Same as lb items. But crate keys we get every month in store, rising them to 150 platinum, and after dropped down back to 50, is this thing normal?

Looooool ommmmg, i understand with 0,01%, but 3 times of things we get every month. What supply and demand you talking about? When crate keys was 150 platinum, few people buyed them from store, but sellers they was a lot. Like they know this thing would come. And plus now i really don t understand why everyone sell crate keys?

Gold gained per plat spent dropped when keys went up so people stayed away.
150 plat to make 10m is not great.
Now you can spend 50 plat and make 5m or more.
If someone can't buy plat, they see what cost 10m or more a month ago now costs 5.
I think sts ran a price experiment and didn't like the results.

I don t think someone in the game would buy items if their price in platinum would rise suddenly. Better if they add new crate key, or whetever for platinum than changing old items platinum price.
