Default Farewell to Those Who Fought with Me Shoulder by Shoulder

This is a farewell letter for all my friends and this Arcane World. It is going to be relatively long, but based on my true feeling.

    Fellas:

For past five months, I have fought well against the darkness emerged in the World of Arlor. I can say this loud and proud not because how much money I spent on game or how much a hardcore player I am, but because of all my awesome friends I came to know in this virtual world. No matter how tough those elite mobs were, or how dark the path in front of me was, I could always gain warmth and confidence through the courage and friendship shown by you guys. For that I will be forever grateful. I will never forget the moment when we were beheading the mighty Undead Captain and joking on each others at the same time. If by any chance I was a good tank in game, it was because of you guys and the faith you put on me.

Those were also dark days in my life. I should have finished my graduate study within 16 months after getting into grad school. But because I easily put my trust on someone I used to call 'friend', I screwed up my research schedule and missed the deadline to submit my thesis. Did I ever regret my decision? No, neither will it stop me putting my trust on people. At least I have learned and grown through the pain. However, I did shut in a little back then and tried to seek comfort by playing MMORPG. It worked in the beginning and helped to fill my emptiness. Yet as time went by, I started to sense that this is like one standing in a deep hollow hole and trying to reach the top by filling the hole with water; I would probably get drowned first before I could get free.

But those were in the past now. Since I am going to graduate soon and trying to find myself a job, I have decided to move on from this phase of my life and resign from Arcane Legends. I may not be able to earn as much money as STS people do, but hopefully a post-graduate degree in engineering can earn me a living. But before I can do this, I feel obligated to write something to those with whom I spent hours, days, or even months. That is the only reason that I am writing at the moment. Also I need to show my gratitude to STS for all the work they have done and the chance they have given me to meet all these awesome people, despite of all the bad words I said about how hard they trying to grind money from players.

At last, let me quote the lyrics from a song as an ending. It is from a song on my all-time favorite soundtrack Les Miserables.
    "O, MY FRIENDS, MY FRIENDS..."
    "...DON'T ASK ME..."
    "...WHAT YOUR SACRIFICE WAS FOR"
    "EMPTY CHAIRS AT EMPTY TABLES"
"NOW MY FRIENDS WILL MEET NO MORE"

As for my toon, he is probably standing alone in the small guildhall of my very first own guild I created before I left game. The name of my guild is "So Long" (no pun intended), it is my last joke for you guys.
