Does Nox Bolt damage neglect armor? - and my D.D.D. philosophy

Hi Fellow players,

I can't find/search this specific topic in the forum threads.
But I just want to confirm, does Nox Bolt's damage neglect armor? Since strictly speaking its a 'poison gas'. (I've read that it does while some say it doesn't)
