Tourney Map
okay so i thought of something and would like to share you all my idea.
there would be a pvp tourney for every big event (tarloks, halloween, elondria, etc.)
rules are:
1.5v5
2.no more than 3 tanks (not sure if it should be three or two, but lets say for now we agree on three)
3. no two pets of the same kind in a team
4. all arcanes are banned (all myths are okay and recommended ofc., all arcanes are banned to motivate more great yet non-arcane players to join)
now the tourney map would be in the "pvp maps button" but would be locked until its open for the event. usually mods announce the upcoming big events anyway so you would have about a month more or less to prepare (make a forum account, set a team, etc.), and the mods would hand out some item (kinda acts like a ticket) if you want to participate and it will grant you access to fight in the tournament. the map would also feature a "spectator mode" where if you are not a participant, you could watch the players fight (this is also good so that mods could watch the fights using spectator mode and there would be full 5v5 fights). the spectator mode would give you two views, one is the contestant's point of view and one is yours where you could move the camera freely. the tourney would also have a "rewind" option where you could watch the fights that happened and see the highlights of the match. i think it would also be nice if sts could stream the video live on a spectator mode. i have no ideas for prizes, what i like might bug you so i'll leave that undecided.
The kills you get on tournament mode wont reflect on your kdr (not sure it thats good, but it only happens occasionally anyway so i dont think its necessary) so basically there would be no tournament kdr (you could see who you just killed tho ofc.). All participants will be given a tournament flag, and the winners (including the semifinalists) would also be given a different, possibly cooler, flag. As i said this will only happen during big events, but im thinking there would be a grand tournament where same rules apply, but with better prizes, and aside from flags, they would also give a special vanity for participants and also a different one for the winner and semi finalists. as for now i dunno what to call that grand tournament, i suck at that (Arlor Kombat, Budokai Arlor Tenkaichi, Street Arlor... err.. fighter or something) so i'll leave it for the devs to decide (or maybe you guys). also, maybe the maps would also be themed according to the event, i.e winter theme for tarlok's, creepy theme for halloween, etc.
p.s.
To prevent your friends from exposing the opponent's skill build as the fight goes on, guild chat and pms would be disabled for participants, only team chat will be allowed as well as the mod's messages. People on spectator mode could talk and cheer with their guildies tho, but you wont see anything on your chatbox if your a participant.
