Default Silver the owl - Review

So this weekend they released for a limited time Silver the Owl. I play warrior often so I thought I would try it given the AA says that it will 'mana burn' a target. Since this was the first pet that does actually affect another players mana I thought I would give it a try. I just finished leveling it to 40, and here is what I take away from it :

Silver gives the following stats -
+10% Damage, 7.5% Critical, 6% Movement Speed, and 20 Primary Stat.

Arcane ability - Deals heavy damage to a single target, reducing movement speed by 80%, and burning mana. Nearby allies have snare and stun effects removed and speed increased.

Passive ability (caps maxed ability at level 15) - A vicious claw attack with a high chance to stun the target.

    AA review :

The AA does remove snare and stuns like it says, it also gives a speed boost that is similar to the mage Gale speed boost. It has the same animation just with a grey trail following you. The Speed boost lasts about 12 seconds. The 'mana burn' is really really low - don't expect it to do very much 'mana burning' at all to a person. Versus a mage you wont even see their mana really go down. A rogue or warrior will have about 15-20% mana removed from their mana bar. Which, when I did a rough calculation took away about 200-ish mana.

The above being said, you might think that could be pretty good. If the AA is quick enough, then then you could burn someone's mana pretty quick - at least to match someone using Jack or Nexus. This isn't really the case at all. Jack has a CD of 20 seconds and Nexus has a CD of about 12-13 seconds. Jack in 20 seconds at level 40 will heal your mana for 556 (139 x 4 ticks). Silver has an AA of 40 seconds. Jack to Silver : you're looking at the person you are versing gaining 1,112 mana (with jack) verse you taking away 200 (with Silver), it's not even equal.

What about the AA damage? It does about 550 damage on a mythic mage with no shield.

What about the 80% slow? It slows the other person for about 1 second.

    Passive attack :

It does high stun the other enemy, but with stun immunity it takes awhile before they will be stunned again. And who cares really? With a warrior or mage they have skills that will stun the other person every 2-3 seconds. So it's worthless.

Damage output is average for a legendary pet from season 1. It kills an elite mob in Ancient Mariner Reef in 75 seconds. As a comparison, Abaddon will kill a mob in 50 seconds. The price for this pet is about 500k for a little less you could buy a Grim which surpasses this pet by so far it isn't even funny.

Conclusion : Don't waste your money. It's so bad it will make you want to rage quit. I think the AA is a modified coding of Misty and Ironbite, both of which iirc have 40 second CDs which is a total failure - no CD should be 40 seconds long unless the AA is so powerful it almost vaporizes the other opponent.

    That is all -
