Need help (old player will start playing again)

Well for starters, you should level up to 61 ASAP. 46-56 is for "Glintstone" maps and 56-61 is for "Chancel of Light" maps.

Not sure where the best place is to level up from 46-56 but you should do the Kraken/Nordr/Shuyal dailies as they give tons of Exp(Quests now give exp). Also for 56-61, level up in Forgotten Citadel, it gives almost 300-500 Exp per run

Now for pet animacy. StS has introduced an update where you can change the Happiness Bonus and Arcane Ability of a pet by slotting it with the Happjness Bonus or Arcane Ability of another pet. That's pretty much it for Pet Animacy.


As for end game gear, I need to know your class first But here's a general outlook on what's going on.

Mausoleum maps (new maps) are extremely difficult. This has impacted the following classes in these ways:-

1) Mages now use a Strength build for extra HP. However if you're using a Strength build you MUST have Hexstone staff(Lvl 51) or Immortal Corruption Staff(Lvl 56) since these weapons have OP proc. Also Dragon Hunter Staff for bosses.

2) Most Rogues now use Dragon Daggers(Lvl 46) as it has OP Dragon Bite stun.

3) I don't know much about Warriors lol.

There is a new rarity called "Set". Set items give bonuses in certain maps. For example the "Antignome" and "Banished" sets give OP stats in Glintstone maps. "Voice of the Order" set gives OP stats in Chancel of Light maps. However acquiring these sets are a huge task, much like the Glintstone set(Lvl 46, which is Mythic and not Set rarity). One of the most famous and commonly used Sets is the Speed Set(Lvl 50). It consists of the ring and pendant and when both if them are worn, it gives you 200% speed boost.

There is also a new mechanic in the game called "Awakening". You can impart additional stats to Weapon and Belts by using awakening gems. A few of the aforementioned "stats" include "3% Str" or "100 HP" etc. etc. You can check StS's forum post on Awakening. One of the best awakens is gold loot. It basically gives extra gold from gold drops.
