I think the one thing Pocket Legends is missing, is a good chat system.

One that is fast, and let's the user say what they want to without missing a beat.

Here are some of my ideas on how to improve it.

So let's say yu click on the chat bubble to open up the keyboard.

Right now all yu get is a place to type and a little chat log up in the corner.

The chat log does not include scrolling, or any interaction whatsoever. Yu can type and say something, but that's about it.

In my opinion socializing with others is one of the biggest aspects of an MMO, so let's see how this could be improved.

Say, when yu click on the chat bubble yu got some options.

In this picture there is a Chat bubble on the top left, a W on the top right, a G on the left bottom, and a keyboard on the bottom right.

(To close these windows yu could gesture downwards)

Let's start with the chat bubble.

-Top Left Chat bubble

When clicking on this yu could load up the macro screen.

I didn't take time to do a mockup of this but I think it could have the same functionality, just make better use of the space.

Now let's go to the keyboard

-Bottom Left Keyboard

When clicking on this it would load up a full chat screen. Not just a slightly larger version of the chat log yu get while playing.

We see there is a full chat box with different colored text, green representing guild chat, and purple representing personal chats between friends, or players.

On this screen you could tap on a players name to open up a personal whisper with them or click on the text next to their name to start typing in the same channel that was said in.

For example clicking on Bill's name would open up a whisper to him (purple) but clicking on what he said ("the guild is great") would open up a guild chat message.

Here we clicked on bob's name and we are now typing a message directly to him.

For more options yu could open up the keyboard by clicking the black bar at the bottom.

Once yu click the black bar at the bottom yu see we have a color oval to the left.

Clicking on this would allow yu to change the channel that yu want to type in.

White would say what yu type, green would put the message into guild chat, and purple would ask yu for a name, then let yu type the message directly to the person.

So back to the main menu of chat.

If yu click the W on the top right yu could come to a tabbed screen with all yur personal convo's.

At the top tabs could display names of the people yu have whispers open with and yu could click a plus button to start a new whisper chat with a friend, or type in someones name.

Clicking the G on the bottom right would let yu talk in guild chat, and also display the names of all online guild members so that yu could whisper them.

Like I said, I firmly believe that the social aspect of an MMO is one of the most important features of a good game. With a system like this, the user could not only benefit from speed, but also from a very elaborate system of chat, and being able to hold many conversations without delaying the game.

This could make pocket legends not just a fun game, but a truly amazing and noteworthy MMO.

Let me know what yu think
