New Blood Star Weapons!!



A new suite of extremely powerful "Blood Star" weaponry has been discovered.

The last of the star-borne shrapnel that followed Hedourah's comet to Arlor contained the mysterious Blood Star... a cosmic crystal of unknown power.
An errant shard of this Blood Star punched through the soil, through the ceilings and floors of the Elder Woods caverns and came to rest somewhere deep below.
The rocky cyst crated by this powerful meteor became known as the 'Fallen Forge' by Weaponsmiths of the realm, as it was the source of material for new and special weapons.
Risking life and limb, artisans harvested the Blood Star shards to create a powerful suite of weaponry!
Now that weaponry can be yours...
And if you dare to retread the Weaponsmiths' steps...
You can conquer the Fallen Forge and infuse these weapons with even more power!

The First 3
The Blood Star Chakram, Chain Sword and Orb will soon be available!
Daggers, Bow, Sword, Staff, Rifle, Shield, will be released at a later date.

Basic Blood Star Weapons
To be fair, there is nothing 'basic' about the Blood Star weapon!
These weapons offer exceptional stats and powerful procs (as you would expect).
However...
These Arcane weapons can also be crafted into bound versions that are more powerful, gain experience and increase stats!

Crafting the "Ascendant" Blood Star Weapons
After acquiring your new Blood Star Weapon, equip it and stop by Keane in Berylline Bay.
If you have completed the Lost Expedition quest line you will see a new conversation and quest option when speaking to Keane.
Take the quest. Complete the challenge. Receive your reward: a special crafting component.
Go to the token vendor Foreax and purchase the appropriate Recipe and get crafting.
Note: once you have completed Keane's quest you will be able to purchase the crafting component quest reward from Foreax.

"Ascendant" Blood Star Weapon Crafting Achievement
Unlock a new Achievement (150 AP) for crafting an Ascendant Blood Star weapon,
and earn a nifty new badge for your trouble...

Travel to the "Fallen Forge" for Keane's Quest
Enter through a crater in Blue Abyss



Vanquish all enemies to complete the quest.
Be careful! This area is extremely deadly... and if you die you have to retry.



Blood Star Weapon Details

Blood Star Chakram



Charged attacks apply the "Bolt of the Blood Star" to an enemy if not on cooldown.
This powerful DoT blasts your target with the Blood Star's cosmic radiation for 5 seconds (8 second cooldown).
Damage (35% Nature) dealt by each "Bolt of the Blood Star" attack scales with both Dexterity and Strength.

Blood Star Chain Sword



Charged attacks apply the "Scourge of the Blood Star" to an enemy if not on cooldown.
This powerful DoT lashes your target with the Blood Star's cosmic radiation for 5 seconds (8 second cooldown).
Damage (35% Nature) dealt by each "Scourge of the Blood Star" attack scales with both Strength and Intelligence.

Blood Star Orb



Charged attacks apply the "Collapsing Blood Star" debuff to enemy targets if not on cooldown.
This affliction quickly gathers a deadly mass of the Blood Star's cosmic radiation for a brief period before exploding and dealing massive damage (8 second cooldown).
Damage (35% Nature) dealt by the "Collapsing Blood Star" attack scales with both Intelligence and Strength.

Ascendant Blood Star Weapon Advancement
Use your Ascendant Blood Star weapon to defeat enemies in the Elder Woods or Elder Woods (Elite) dungeons to earn weapon experience.
Check up on your progress by viewing the item details - you will see your weapon's Level and the amount of experience you have earned towards the next Level.
Tap on the new Ascension info button to see the stats you can expect to earn with each increased Level.
Note: this button also shows up on existing Spirit equipment and shows you the same details!

Ascendant Weapons and Spirit XP
You can use Spirit XP kits and elixirs to affect your Ascendant Blood Star weapon experience.
Pets that affect your Spirit XP gain will also affect the amount of experience your Ascendant Blood Star weapon earns.

Max Level Ascendant Blood Star Weapon Achievement
Raise an Ascendant Blood Star Weapon to Max Level to unlock a new Achievement (250 AP),
and earn a cool badge for the effort...



Additional Notes

Blood Star Weapons Initial Availability
The Blood Star Weapons will be initially available to loot from the Locked Hugthulian Crate 2025 during the Valentine's "Lovecrafting" 2025 event.
This availability is not exclusive to Lovecrafting. Expect to see these (and future) Blood Star Weapons in various other locked crates.

Ascendant Blood Star Crafting Is Permanent
The Blood Star "Ascendant" quest line and crafting are permanent features and will remain accessible in the Elder Woods.
AP's for crafting and reaching max level with an Ascendant Blood Star weapon will also be permanent.
