Favorite Sci-fi movies are definitely classics. Aliens, The Thing (Jon Carpenter), Star Wars, Event Horizon, Firefly, etc etc

As for anime, I answered earlier but Bleach and Death Note, Moribido was also awesome. Full Metal Alchemist, Gurren Laggan and the list continues on and on
