We want to update everyone about the continued development that is in progress for Arcane Legends. In November, we posted about the future of Arcane Legends (you can read that post here: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?75971) and a lot has happened in the 2 weeks since then. Here are the updates:

    • New Content
    • Raised Level Cap and Level Cap Rewards
    • Player vs. Player (PvP) in the New Year
    • Premium Founder's Equipment Retired
    • New Character Advancement - Passive Skills
    • Season 2 of the Leaderboards
    • New Character Weapon Types

    New Content:
As we previously announced, a new series of adventures that expand the map and continue to unravel the evil mystery of the portals is coming soon. The working title for this expansion is "The Dead City" and it looks to be an undead good time! The team plans to have this new content out before the December holidays are upon us. We will have more details along with some teaser screenshots to look at next week.

Raised Level Cap and Level Cap Rewards
When the new content, mentioned above, comes out, the level cap will be raised to 21, where going from 20 to 21 will be an Elite Level that takes 10X the exp needed to go from 19 to 20.

There will be a vanity (non-statted) flag banner granted to everyone who, at the time the level cap is raised, has made the current Elite Level of 16. Check out the image of the Warrior with the Flag Banner in the Season 2 Leaderboard section below for an idea of what this level cap vanity will look like. It won't have the crown image on it - rather it will have chevrons indicating which Elite Level the flag banner is for. We'll have more pictures of it soon.

For those of you who are not familiar with the concept of an Elite Level, it started in Pocket Legends and has been a fun part of all Spacetime Games since. For example, currently in Arcane Legends, the normal level cap is 15 and those who strive to max out their character can achieve the elite level cap of 16. Going from 15 to 16 takes 10X the experience that it would normally take, hence the elite aspect to it. For anyone who is part of the way from 15 to 16 when the level cap changes, your character will still be the same part of the way through 15 toward 16, but going from 15 to 16 will no longer take as much exp as it did when 16 was the Elite Level.

    Player vs. Player (PvP)
Just a quick note to acknowledge that Player vs. Player implementation is in work. This is a big balance task between the classes. We don’t have a specific time frame of when PvP will be implemented, but we do want to let you know that it is being worked on and will not be included in the December update. Look for more details about PvP in the new year.

    Premium Founder's Equipment Retired
All of the Premium Gear available currently in The Store will no longer be available for purchase. It will be replaced with all new looking gear. So, if you like the current Founder's Gear, you'll want to get it now while it is available. One of the new available "looks" for Premium Gear will be a "Winter" set. Here are two screenshots of the Rogue and Sorcerer in this look. For an image of the Warrior, check out the pictures in the Season 2 Leaderboard section below.

There will also be another "look" available. Also, for those who like to dress their characters up, these new different looks will be available in The Store as vanities.

New Character Advancement - Passive Skills
Part of the new Dead City campaign update will be the addition of Passive Skills. You can spend your available skill points in Passive Skills to boost your statistics. Here's a screenshot of a Level 16 Rogue pondering a respec. Notice the tab to change between your skills and your passives.

    Season 2 of the Leaderboards
When the new Dead City campaign goes live, Season 1 of the Leaderboards will close and the top people on the Leaderboards will receive vanity rewards. The timed runs on the Leaderboards will then be reset and Season 2 will kick off. We're still creating the individual rewards, but most of them are coming together. We'll have a further post soon with all the details including which spots on the Leaderboards will be receiving rewards and screenshots of what the rewards look like. For now, here are screenshots of a Warrior with one of the vanity flag banners.

    New Character Weapon Types
As you may have noticed from the above Warrior screenshots, there will be 1 handed weapons and shields available in the new campaign. There will also be a new weapon type available for both the Rogue and the Sorcerer in the new campaign as well.

Update: Check out all of the new weapon types in this post: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/show...ends-Dead-City

Update: Check out this preview video of one of the new pets coming in the Dead City expansion - Snowball!
