I was never the meelee and close ranged type.
Any game I play, I always choose a ranged type, dex type.
Bears were never in my line, yet I know how to use them.
Birds are more in my line, yet I still dont know many things about em.

Internal, you can't be good in just a week. Don't let the negative kdr hold you back from being a good level 50 bear.
This^ You just need practice. How many bears have you pvped with, and what level? Maybe low level forg pvp? You really have to learn ranges, timing debuffs, timing buffs, and all the good combos associated with being a good bear. If you're a decent bear with a forg bow at low level, congrats. Anyone can be. It really does take practice to get good at anything, such as your bear.
Mages are better but it seems that Bird is the better choice for you. Its important you play a class you enjoy after all isn't that the main point of playing? To be good with a class you have to spend time with it to understand its strengths and weaknesses.

True babe.
Lol I guess I caught on fast though, I learned bird when Call taught me. 18 bird was my first bird. In a weeks matter I noticed I was improving immensely. In about 3 weeks I was 1700-300.
Then I went to 61 bird and perfected my bird skill.
The point is, whether it's a week worth of practice or a years worth of practice, you'll get the hang of it.
A lot of people say bear is the hardest class to do, which I agree with.
I learned through mentors. Call was my 18 bird mentor, and Ily being my 61 bird mentor. I did not have respect for either of them until they unfolded how much they know. That made me respect them.
I would try sticking with Bear at 50 bro, definitely let Reun mentor you. He obviously knows what he's doing. Don't waste the plat and the time.
Best of luck.
