What is the role of the warrior in party?

For elite party runs, a warrior should...

be the first line of defense
lure and tank mobs smartly (skills with taunt effects)
enfeeble bosses charged attacks
spam POTIONS

Warrior role in party is to take damage from the enemies to protect other members, & is to act as a healing support to mages & rogues
Mage role in party is to damage enemies in group from staying behind, they also act as healing support to all members as they regenerate mana

All classes have heal so not one class has the obligation to heal the other nor to be a pure support class. Besides, theres pots for a reason. -.-

Mages are for CC (crowd control) as a dev stated before. They do not need to be a pure support class. Especially when they can dish out a lot of dmg.

Warriors are pretty much there to tank & hold aggro (even thouh they can't seem to hold aggro for long). They can be a pure tank class or paladin (perse). However, they lack in dmg (in PvE that is).

This is because the majority of warriors don't spec correctly for elite maps. But I can understand why - when you do, you pretty much gimp yourself for anything else in the game (i.e. soloing and PvP). My warrior is built to hold aggro, and I usually maintain aggro the entire fight (both mob and boss) unless I'm stunned or the rogue/sorc go on a crit spree. This is why I've suggested STS introduces a pet with a taunt ability to aid warriors.

I wish warriors would learn how to tank instead of ruining every chance my sorc has at advancing to places like Kraken Isles. It seems like I have to make every class to fill spots other people dont seem to be competent enough to fill. So when I play my warrior the DPS sucks, I play my sorc and the tank has no potions, no healing, 2h, and cant take any hard hits. Please learn how to play your class!
