2v2 Tournament, July 27thThis is a two vs two single elimination tournament with best-of-three matches. The winner of the matches will proceed to the next round. Brackets will be posted in this thread at the start of the event.

How?
I will help lock a ctf lobby and all matches will be concluded there. When is it time for your match an organizer will party invite each team member. After a match is complete, players should only leave if they are told to, this will avoid random joining of the game. If you do win a match please stay available. This will insure that the event runs smooth and fast.
When?
July 27th at 11am cst. All contestants must be available at that time. The event will run as long as it is necessary for the tournament to finish. Will probably last a few hours. If you do not have that much time please don't sign up. Thanks!

How to enter?
Exactly 2 weeks before the tournament, Saturday, July 13th at 11am cst I will post a sign up thread. In the sign up thread you will post both your ign and your partners ign. Only one person for each team should reply. We will take the first 16 teams. If we get 32 teams I will consider allowing that many people to compete. The next 6 entries will be held as reserves. First come, first serve basis applies.

Matches:
- Teams must consist of mixed classes.
- All matches will be best of 3, so you will have to beat each opponent twice in order to progress to the next round
- All matches are to be played at one of the spawn areas of the ctf map
- Matches will start after a countdown by the organizer: “rdy, 3, 2, 1, go”
- Both teams must be at full hp and mana, as well as having all their skills ready to use before the battle starts
- Players may only use any attack or skill after the organizer said “go”, no skills (vengeful blood, combat medic, arcane shield, etc) may be used prior to “go”
- Players can charge their attacks before go (but not use)
- If the organizers decide one of the players attacked too early, that one battle has to be replayed, no matter the outcome
- No arcane pets allowed
- Pet skills may only be used after “go” as well
- No switching of pets during a match
- Ties will be replayed and considered to be no-win for both players.
Additional Rules:
- If either player from a team is unresponsive or unavailable, that team will be replaced by a reserve team. If there are more than 6 unresponsive players, those who are active and available will be allowed to form new teams. This second option only applies if no more reserves are left.
- Arcane weapons are banned from the tournament.
- You may change gear/pets in between fights.
- No additional fighting and NO FLAG CARRYING during the event!
- Semi-Finals and Finals will be best-of-five to reduce luck
- DO NOT message organizers unless they message you first
- While in the 2v2 zone avoid talking and chatter right before and during matches
- Players who are not responding to pm's by organizers will be removed from the event and considered to forfeit
- Players who do not abide rules and distract the running of the event will be removed and banned from further events
- If you know that your partner cannot make the tournament prior to Friday, July 26th (24 hours before the tournament) at 11am cst please pm me. If your partner has to leave during the tournament the team is out.
Change of rules:
- Respec's are allowed in between each match. Read these rules carefully.
- Once we ask you to join us you have 2 minutes to join. If you take longer than 2 minutes you will be disqualified.
- Once you are in the arena you are not allowed to leave to respec. There is one exception to this rule. If you complete a match and I ask you to stay for the next round you are allowed to ask use to leave and respec. You will have 2 minutes.
- Do not message me or Bilaxman and ask who you are against next. It will be your responsibility to keep up with the bracket.
Check in:
One player from each team will be required to check in the day of tournament. As early as 30 minutes before the event you will /t delphette checking in. You must check in no later than 15 minutes before the tournament. If you are party of the tournament please accept/add delphette as a friend.
