wich upgrades should i use on the skill vs PVE
wich upgrades should i use on the skill vs PVE
If any, i'd suggest HP regain and Muti target upgrades.
The Collective - Toa Aiga
I would suggest only the HP return (Shadow Absorption).

not really when u solo and are ganged by mobs. 3 target and heal is really useful as i can kill 12-13 mobs in rapid succession and u don't get killed because of heal. i usually have 25% health left then i pot cus my mana is all used up. it is my second best skill except aimed.
It's more efficient to do the most damage possible and just spam potions to heal

There are new players who don't have too much money to buy potions
But once you do, you will make more money completing stuff faster.

That is not a good excuse. Assuming your not 36 in which case you should not be using pierce anyways. you should be using something more leveling suited like razor/trap/veil/filler (meaning aimed OR nox) and grinding shuyal/wt4 and capping. Name me a capped player who cant afford 5-10k a day for 500ish pots and ill name you a lazy player. Takes less then 20 minutes to farm for 1 locked and theres your pots for elites, Heck you can do the random dailys throughout the game and earn like 5k from them. takes longer but eh.
But im with aze. I use 1/5 pierce and i never charge it unless im fighting a really annoying boss that can one shot me
to be clear before you try getting offensive or something. im not attacking you. Just stating that anyone who uses an excuse that they cannot afford potions when they are 36. Is simply lazy.

Going with goodsyntax on this one...I was informed a while back by either apollo or alri (think it was apollo and kei actually) when I was under cap to look into goodsyntax's build because he's regarded as one of the top solo elite rogues...and all I'm gonna say is I gave it a shot and haven't considered going back since...
I did have multi hit and hp regen, dropped multi and everything fell twice as fast. I've been farming Elite LMM for a cpl weeks now solo and I feel like under 7 minutes to demolish EVERY mob in there and make my exit to be pretty good...so I'd go with goodsyntax.
Talking about the Shadow Piercer skill, I find it annoying when I am suppose flagging in a ctf room, getting chased by someone and I use this skill to move forward, and all it does is take me back to the enemy. Would it not be better if it made us go in the direction we are facing? I wish this could be fixed.
Health regan and multi target for regular pve
Just health regan for elite such as nord kraken and shuyal where the mob are stronger and more numbered.
Usually have one finger on health pot and the other finger on pierce when mob are doing serious damage to me. Only way I can tank them when running is not an option
For pve i would choose none.to me health return is not substantial.in pve you can pots.so better invest tht 1 point in other skills or passive.
For pvp.health return is good for good closure.anthr upgrade i may consider is armour reduction
semi-retired
While true as far as pots go in pve...I've found it to have saved me from running back to the boss because I get 1 hit or just don't have quite enough health to survive the charged attack. Dashing right through them to the other side does come in handy...at least from a solo endgame rogue perspective that is.
