Same deal as Xmas for christmas, just a convention. XP for experience has been used in role playing games for a long time. Also by your spelling in the title, it would be Exe

As Royce hinted, "Exeperience" isn't the correct spelling of the word. In my experience, spelling flames with incorrect spelling are an auto-FAIL.

It's been "XP" for experienced-based progression games since the 1970's. The acronym comes from Dungeons & Dragons, which used "XP" for "experience points" to avoid confusion with "EP", which stood for "electrum pieces" (electrum being a material valued between gold and silver, something dropped in later releases). The term has become fossilized into RPGs in general.

HAY D00D!!1! You were the one who flamed first.

... but if you're really worried about it, I'm not angry. I just thought it was funny that you chose to flame about a supposed spelling mistake, and your flame had a spelling mistake in it. In my humdrum life, that counts as serious comedy.

If it's just a game then why the hell do you care about peoples grammer? By the way, you spelled "oh" wrong.
