I actually thought about the boycott initially too. And I thought about the Berlin Olympics and the Moscow Olympics.
It occurs to me that the whole point of the Olympics is to come together for sports.
And that the more controversial or important the protest, the more important it is to show that the world can overcome it, and show up to the Olympics, which was supposed to be a suspension of conflict, to celebrate people, physical ability and peaceful competition.
And possibly for everyone to show up and show that we are all people together.
Anyways, that was my thought.
