I don't have any grudge towards Unity or any of its members, so there's no need to play the 'haters gonna hate' card.
If someone wants to advertise Unity specifically on a guild thread made for Restoration, be prepared for a response, especially after Unity members have asked people from Restoration to join countless times already.
I'm simply expressing my opinion, since your guild member chose to bring up Unity on my guild thread. I wouldn't have been vocal about my opinion otherwise. But since the topic has shifted from Restoration to Unity, I'll expand on what I meant by my comment.
Look at the Unity that once was and compare it to the Unity now. You had this guild before that had a "we don't NEED you" attitude, it seemed like a privilege for people to join the guild. And what I mean by that is that one person didn't make the guild. The guild had a lot of talent and one person leaving wouldn't have changed that. The essence of the guild would have still remained.
Compare it to the Unity now though. You have people countlessly advertising that the majority are welcome to join the guild, regardless of talent, personality, or other factors. I don't want to say all, but I'll say the majority considering I've heard from my guild members that each and everyone of them received an invite, as well as the majority of members from guilds like Tranquility, Rated M, and others. So now you have this guild that has a "we'll take anything we can get" attitude.
But in my opinion, these countless advertisements to the same people over and over, all those countless invites, they scream desperation. And a lot of people are joining Unity just for the title. You're inviting people who Kanital and other past Unity members have said countless times that will "never join." I'll give you an example: Crash. I remember that he wanted to join Unity in the past more than anything. And what happened? Sure, Will was cordial on the forums and kept giving Crash false hope that he could ever join the guild. But what was the general feeling amongst the master and the officers of the guild? The feeling was that he would never join because he wasn't good enough and it was pretty much laughable to some of the officers to think he even had a chance.
Fast forward over a year. Now Crash has become pretty good, especially considering none of his characters have a ring. And now your guild members are inviting him to join Unity. To express such opinions like he would "never join because he's not good enough," and make such comments and then invite him a year later. But why should he join? I think he'd rather go back to Rated M first than join Unity.
And it's not just Crash, he's just an example. There are many examples I could provide, but this post is already long winded enough. This isn't just my opinion, this is an opinion shared by many. I have no grudge or hatred towards you, Ninja, or any other of your guild members. My opinion of you won't change because you've left my guild for Unity. You're still a good bird and you're a pretty cool dude behind that bird.
I hope that Unity can reform to what it once was but it can't in its current state in my opinion.
I'm just simply expressing my opinion. If you didn't want my opinion, your guild member shouldn't have posted his opinion and advertisement of Unity on my guild thread. But like I said, there is no grudge.
