Note: I cannot Guarantee you that this will work for sure, but I'd say to give it a try.

Got lag?

A high ping is indicative of an unstable internet connection. First, you might try restarting your device (or otherwise turning off all background applications). *Next, try just playing 3G. If you don't have a problem playing on 3G, and you do with Wifi, then try another internet connection (at a friend's house, coffee shop, etc.) to isolate the problem.

Trouble connecting to the server?

If you are having a hard time connecting to the server you may have a problem with your ports. If you are running Windows, you can follow use the following articles to help you open port 4060:

For Windows 7:

Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type "firewall" and then click Windows Firewall.

In the left pane, click Advanced settings. *If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

In the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security dialog box, in the left pane, click Inbound Rules, and then click "New Rule" in the right hand column.

Follow the instructions in the New Inbound Rule wizard.

For Windows Vista:

Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Windows Firewall.

Click Allow a program through Windows Firewall. *If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Click Add port.

In the Name box, type a name that will help you remember what the port is used for.

In the Port number box, type the port number.

Click TCP or UDP, depending on the protocol.

To change scope for the port, click Change scope, and then click the option that you want to use. ("Scope" refers to the set of computers that can use this port opening.)

Some other things that help with data speed:

•Activating airplane mode for 15 seconds.

•You remember when you first got your phone, and you had to call a certain number to program your phone? Turn off your phone, turn it back on, and call that number (for straight talk, it's *22890). Your phone will be reprogrammed and your data speed will increase a little. I learned about it from a service rep when i complained about poor service.
