Ah well, the antlers are cool on my mage, makes her look like a faun. It also masks whatever helm she's wearing, which was nice when I had the Toad Tiara, heh. Got tired of answering "what is that on your head?!" and "can I plz by your helmet??"

Vanity hats are there to hide the helms you don't particularly favor (IMHO). The plus one is a nice addition. Hiding a vanity item seems counter-intuitive, not a bug. I'm also a developer and we call that 'as designed'.
