I don't know why everyone is complaining. I mean I spend no plat yet I can still buy this arcane fossil if I farm 8000 locks assuming lock price stays at 10k. No trouble.


Edit just did the math and realized if I farm 3 locks every 30 min then it will take me 1333h to get 8000 locks

An hour after the patch I thought there was finally something to run for in elites, two hours later the Vial prices came crashing down. Oh well...

What STS is doing with the locked crates is making sure that the supply of the arcane item is lower than the supply of the ectoplasm. They are doing this by controlling the drop rates. The reason they want this is to create more demand for the arcane item so people open locked crates. If they made the ectoplasm rate much lower than the arcane item, then the arcane item would be the one dropping in price while the ectoplasm would stay super expensive. But they don't want that because they want people opening locked crates.

Absolutely agreed!!! This is all about opening locks! All the other must haves were at least balanced by having them in both crates AND the latest Elite Goldens! And yes, I do know what is coming next from STS ... but I still think this is important enough that it still should happen and apparently something we actually both agree on.

Secondly, the Ectoplasm will be found/farmed till their as cheap as copper chests. Why so? A very small amount of people will get the Arcane Fossil, there is no way for anyone who is F2P to get it. Even the Arcane Shards came in Elite Dragonscale Golden Chests. STS, you should have just slapped a 16000 platinum price tag on it TBH.

Dear STS. Your game has potential to be something great. Has potential are the key words here. Your locked crates are a joke and we are all fed up with them. Gear in any mmo should always be earned from defeating content, not how much money you can spend on the game. Rethink your system or you will continue to lose players. I am done with this game for now.

Why on Earth can't we simply have something that can be farmed in elites? Why must everything be exclusive to Locked?

This will turn out exactly like the Arcane ring where the Shard price = Ring price.

So much for keeping my hopes up for finally getting something in elites worth farming for.
