Just hear me out. Locked prices are down and luck is up and also please remember elixir kits are limited time. With that said I thought of an idea.

Make locked chests craftable into a plat free locked chest.
Example recipes..

4 locked chests take 24 hrs to craft a plat free locked chest and sinks 15k gold to open.

Or

2 locked chest takes 5 of each essence and 24 hours to craft a plat free locked chest. This would boost gem price too and take 15-20k gold to open.

There are multiple possibilities all ideas or welcome. This would give plat free users a fighting chance if they work for it, and this would boost the economy plus make some of the smaller things in the game worth while for everyone.

Surely there is a way to impliment this if some thought goes behind it. Well just thought I'd tell everyone about that idea thx

I am guessing with the Halloween event coming up there will be locked crafting once again like the last event.

It could be done and save the economy. It would make farming gold a must so you could open locked even if you craft them. People would sell them just because they are broke and those with gold would open em like crazy and sometimes 5k locked chests get opened and not 1 arcane item is looted. You can only open locked chests til ur broke then you gotta work for it by farming elites or selling locked chests you craft that will give you gold to sink more gold with what you selling sinking gold too. How is this idea flawed at all lol! jk like I said it could be implemented with some thought behind it.. why so negative?

We can't live from event to event and the rest of the game be dead. Some people probably get close to near death during events... what with it being the only real way to get lots of gold. Double odds event chest was good because the special item so those will still always be very profitable.

4 lockeds+ purchaseable "lock upgrader" available in Shop for 10 plat, or something like that, and i think it is a good idea.

People will go broke spending all their money opening these locked....and trust me they will, if they can, the thrill of the suspense is too much, and it will most likely end up in people quitting since locked chances are SO bad, very beneficial idea for the lucky few that can open the right crate and make it rich, but just seems like a money hole for people who honestly cant afford it and should be farming for the gold instead of wasting it there

Most people may have the gold for it, but all our new players will go crazy trying to get a sam or shard out of these lol, when all they will receive back for their (3x locked = 20k around and 15k to open, around 40k) and the average drop from a locked is a string of 2k gold, or an occasional 5k if ur lucky.. but thatll drain them of their gold, it would lead to players quitting and people spending their money into thin space, since it wont revolve in the economy, it would be lost in the system

So not a bad idea, but yeah like someone said above needs fine tuning, +1 when the improvements are made though!

If done this way people who want the easy plat spent cash they could do that still or work for it and open chests they craft. Or maybe make it take plat to craft the chest.. and make it tradable. There is some fine tuning that could make this a big hit.

Just put better loot into the crates and adjust the drop rates for the most frequently ran maps.

I'd like to add that i cant afford to buy plat and I would love to have something worth while like this. I would sell some rare items and jump right in all my time and effort could make me one of the most op characters. As is I already open every elite gold chest I get for rare items and possibly mythic and arcane. Anything I can do legit to make it in this pay to play game.

I know! What if you could get Grand Crate Keys? They will drop from any boss, as a legendary drop. This seems to be a better alternative than gold or plat. Both sides have to do the same effort.

With crafting you must use plat to speed it up or just pay the price and wait the time. With crafting locked crates though using plat to speed it up wouldn't be possible.

The locked chests price drops right after the event and we must wait for another event to have a chance at decent gold. Why live from event to event... more like just play events and the rest of the time ur better off watching TV or playing pvp. The whole game experience would be enhanced with craftable locked although tougher to get it would allow free players a chance in the game. The only true way to get 100m is to pay sts to play Russian roulette with locked and if you ask me.. you'd make a lot more profit if you used it at a real casino lol.

Atm locked chests are free if you open them you get back more gold than you paid for it! Something is wrong here and a short term fix here or there will lead to the overall death of this game eventually.

You could make it to where you are only able to craft one chest every 12/24 hours so that people wouldn't just make them all day and plat purchases will still be high. 365-730 locks possible if you made em every chance possible and odds for really good items are extremely low. Free players still get the short end of the stick but atleast there is some hope.

This would save the game and give people something to look forward to everyday not just at random events and holidays.
