Have you ever thought about MOBA's?
Have you ever thought about MOBA's?
Definition of MOBA, from a random website:
Multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), also known as action real-time strategy (ARTS), originated as a sub-genre of the real-time strategy (RTS) genre of video games, in which a player controls a single character in one of two teams.

Whut??
And what with the *shifty eyes*.
means yes..obviously lol..im thinking the new game thats being developed will harness the best of AL..and be made into an MOBA.
if that is true..it will be very interesting indeed..thats if we can transfer our characters that is.

Did you finally caught up with the news of May 2014? They already mentioned such things in the facetime vid 8bit salute. Go check it out what Cinco talks about.
Makin a dota out of al sound fun. The current gameloft-developed MOBA looks good but crappy servers and takes too much space.
Haha i just imagine another game with underpowered mages.
A moba? Sigh... That's just... Eh. I don't want to get banned, so I'll try to say this as nice as possible.
Now it's (and has been for some time) pretty obvious that STS's business plan is to stroll behind other games' successes and picking up their remains. Looking back at those black star trailers really makes it apparent that all your creativity and ambition got flushed down the toilet by the market. Not sure if I should be disappointed or just sad.
I'm not accusing anyone of anything, I'm just saying that all that talent could be put to better use than copying other games.

Beware of the Tinfoil - it's coming...
^chill out you would not be saying that if you knew the whole story of what happened with blackstar. In a way it was lucky for us that we got these mobile games and had such a good time, even if only for the while the games we liked were actively developed.
MOBA is awesome, so now we know what kind of game
I do know the whole story (or at least everything we have been told). And that is exactly what I meant. When Blackstar got a slap into the face, STS suffered the severe consequences, but they grew a pair, decided not to sit around and made something truly unique out of it. They have been playing it safe ever since. Pretty sure that they have a nice and steady income by now, so they could afford to make something not done before and not get slapped back by it. But they wont, they will keep doing what they do.
I am aware that it is silly to assume that my post would change anything, but my intention was only to make the little creative child inside of them (if there still is one) at least shed a tear.
Beware of the Tinfoil - it's coming...
This might be subjective, but none of their other titles had the same production values as Star Legends. Their Art has always been excellent, but not so much the story and the designs.
And a MOBA is an ambitious and involving project, they can't push it out and move on to the next one like the Battle titles.
No MMO should be pushed out and then not being constanlty updated with new content. But STS can do that, because of the casual way the average mobile consumer behaves. STS would not survive with that business model on any other gaming platform. Whatever game they release it will not get mayor content updates after a year or two.
But that is a whole different discussion.

Here is the vid i mentioned. Right after the intro, cinco talks about a new game whcih has all aspects of all sts games.
