Elon gun or frost gun and why?

People say elon gun better.

many also says dat frost gun will be buffed nd will be better Dan elon.

So should I buy elon gun or should I keep using my frost gun?

I'm too poor for any of those two,

but from looking at the stats of both guns,
frost gun has slightly better stat (haven't seen the proc vs enemies yet)
Elon gun has a shield when charged, and roots that hold enemies in place

Pvp and pve Elo gun is the way to go and I highly doubt these weapons will be buffed when it's almost end event and very few people are Actually angy about the weapons.
Elo gun is better imo because per shot you gain 30 armor which is necessary for mages.

As someone who has used both, I'd say even despite the loss of 2 INT, that the Elo gun is better hands down. While the Frost Gun has better base stats, the fact that the Elo gun has a GURANTEED armor proc (great for PVP/PVE) and a useful proc that roots your enemy(ies). The Frost proc is basically a freeze, which is fairly pointless considering you can't rely on it and most Mages already have freeze as a skill anyways.

from what i heard about frost gun, the proc is crap... takes 5 hit to "freeze" an enemy? while the ice spell have 100% freeze chance with 1 shot ... and since ice will work in pvp later, the proc is even more useless(apparently it works in pvp)

well i guess it's good only if it also work on boss... perma root till end of the fight, but i doubt that will happen...
