Question about bonus damage

Hello guys I have a question about bonus damage,
how does it exactly work? And also
does it affect your skill's damage or anything else?

Bonus damage multiplies damage from gear by the given amount. So if you have 3.0 damage from helm and 300% bonus damage, you get 9 damage added to your stats, which yes, would increase your skills damage as well.
