Question about looting Maridos - For Those of You that Have

When you loot Mardios from a locked crate do you get him as an egg?

Or...

Do you get him as a pet the first time you loot him, eggs afterwards..

Just trying to solve a tiny disagreement here...

Deary is the penny of pets. It may not seem super strong but fill a sock full of em they become OP huhu xP

Any pets you get from locked come as an egg.
Even any Npc (dragkin teeth vendor gives snappy egg, Story TOKENS vendor gives eggs) gives pets as an egg form.
But when you buy pet from STABLE you always get that as hatched pet and not in egg form.
