    Default Where Did Seo Go?

    Howdy!

You may have (or not ) noticed that I was missing in action for the past two weeks or so. I went on a tour of the US national parks (southwest) and I have to say, it was pretty cool! It was very different than the rainy city for which I call home. Please enjoy some of the better photos I was able to take on my phone!

    Mesa Verde, CO

    Near Monument Valley, AZ

    Grand Canyon, AZ

    Bryce Canyon, UT

    Teton Mountains, WY

Great vantage point on the last three. What ruins are those on the first pic?

Mesa Verde National Park is a U.S. National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Montezuma County, Colorado. It protects some of the best preserved Ancestral Puebloan archeological sites in the United States.

Thanks! Wazakesy is correct on this. To add on, as part of the erosion of the landscape cave type areas were formed where the Ancestral Puebloans (formally known as the Anasazi) lived!

I'm glad you all are enjoying them. I almost forgot to include the ones form Yellowstone!

    Old Faithful Geyser

Run Off from Hot Springs - contains trace amounts of arsenic!!

Dragon's Mouth Spring - Strong smell of sulfur!

The park is a massive volcano. I'd encourage you to read more about it here! http://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/nature/volcanoqa.htm

Funny thing is that my actual camera (now about 10 years old) takes about the same quality as my phone lol. It is amazing how much technology has progressed!

Side note: Did you all enter the weekly raffle? I'm choosing nine people tomorrow.

That's so awesome! You've done all I wish I could do in a lifetime in two weeks. The pictures are amazing too. What tour is this?
