The most profitable but time consuming way is to farm lockeds with Luck Elexir and sell it.
Luck Elexir is 4 plat, if you get 3 lockeds per run and sell for 10k its 7.5 gold per plat
If you sell luck elexirs or event kits or ankhs its like 3-5 gold per plat but its way faster than farming lockeds

I don't want to be running maps for loot and such, but i've been doing that. I was talking about converting plat to a item and the best way to make as much gold as possible, the way i've been doing most times is 10 50% xp kits for 80 plat ( they are 30k now) so 300k for 80 plat, but i just wanted to now what everyone else does with there plat besides opening locks.The most profitable but time consuming way is to farm lockeds with Luck Elexir and sell it.

I think he mean 3 locked per elixir run (30 minutes) not per map run.

This event I had about 180-ish plat, and I bought 4 sets of 10 luck kits from the store bc they were selling at 13-15k each in auction (as opposed to the usual 9-11k). I made a good 600k from my 160 plat that I spent, and I got it all within an hour. Farming definitely makes way more money, but I just don't have the time.
Something has to be liked to be valuable...
But to be loved you have to be PRICELESS!
During events/pre-events you can buy event goodies with platinum and sell for good amounts of gold,
for example pre-event Hallow crates where just 5 plat, I've bought many of them and sold in CS, thus made decent amounts of gold,
I've spent 1000 plat / 5 plat. each = bought 200 crates, sold 20k each x 200 = 4mil minus CS commission ~ 3.7 mil yummy sweet money
With elixirs/ankhs sales you cannot hit such profit margins. I've sold them all at lightspeed btw, unlike elixirs/ankhs
same goes to necro-nom-nom book - never can remember that name properly lol
5 plat to buy, can be sold for 30-40k < this is a great opportunity ATM!

I agree with Areef this is how I spend my plat too. Ankhs usually only convert 1 plat to 2k-ish gold. Elixirs are a bit better (1:3k-ish) but things like Hallow crates and Pet crates make 4-5k per plat.
if you're in a hurry though and want to sell now, do energy kits (1:3k - auction fee).
