This is a good 'beginning' guide for someone considering making a guild. I wanted to add in a few extra pointers that I have learned over the last year with <Enigmatic>

    1. Guilds take time to grow- Your guild may operate for months with a small roster, and that is OK as long as you remain consistent in your guild rules and climate. If you truly have something special people will join, and STAY. Then their friends will notice wow she/he has been there for a while maybe I should check it out too. Loyalty is key in building reputation. Sometimes, a guild will expand quickly because players tend to flock to what they perceive as the 'next best thing' in Arlor and want to jump on board. This same guild expands quickly... then blows up. Be picky in who you allow to join, and remember that growing your roster with a slow and steady mentality is better than quick and not having control over the roster.

    2. Host events with prizes- Are you a PvP guild? How about hosting a guild tourney! Who is the best sharp shooter over the weekend and earns the most kills and earns a gold prize. PvE Guild? Timed runs, PvE kills, loot tracker contests... people engage with each other and this builds camaraderie within your organization. Also, be proud of your guild and have guild meetings. Take SS and post them on the forums! This helps Arlor see what you are about.

    3. You will have drama- Every single guild has drama however it's your ability to solve problems efficiently that makes your guild a success. Always listen to both sides of the situation, and never say something to one person that could be held against you in SS to another person. Be fair, and use a democratic system within your officers about serious issues. Allow them to all have a voice! Choose your officers wisely they are your allies.

    4. Is your guild 'Pro'?- There is a fine line between making a guild with rules on recruitment and having the rules be so stringent that nobody can join. Unless you truly intend to make a guild with a handful of people, don't post that your guild is 'PRO ONLY' because it's bound to fail. People want to join a guild and play with their friends, what fun is a guild if people can't have their friends join? Decide on your rules for recruitment, but always remain approachable and friendly even to people who don't meet your guild's requirements. Offer them some advice on skills, gear, etc. and tell them to get back to you when they do meet the requirements. Someone that may look nub now may end up the next rockstar in a few weeks, so burning bridges is never smart when you are approached by people asking to join.

    5. Never take the leaderboard seriously- It's one way to measure a guild, but the true measurement is if the members are enjoying the game and your guild! If you have internal satisfaction and activity you are far surpassing other guilds who may or may not be listed on the boards. Don't worry the ranks overly!

    6. Have fun and enjoy the ride. Growing a guild is one of the most pleasurable and rewarding choices in Arlor, but it takes immense time and a steadfast commitment. Good luck future guilds of Arlor!!!

This is amazing! I have a coupla officers rn, and my guild, with help of major inviting from one mage and my friends, has gotten the guild to over 200 members in 1 week. I started doing events as soon as we hit 75 members. I do not know what to say that could be wrong about this. I completely love the advice given. Thank you, from the gm of Redeemers of the Extinct! Maybe see some repliers around in the world of arlor!

For a guild to first get into the Top 50 Leaderboards, you will need to gather enough people to achive enough Achivment Points as a guild to be counted in... for example if you have 100 people all with 10k aps will give your guild a total of 1,000,000 aps as a guild.

Last weeks ranks on the threads show that the guild ranked 49th for APs have 4,334,350aps as a collective... so as a guild you would need at least that much or more just to get into the top 50...

After that alot of different categories will determind where along the Top 50 your guild is place, for example total number of aps, total number of pve/pvp kills, how active all your members are, etc...

    Hope that helps
