My friends didn't spend a lot of plats and they both got Elixirs and Key Crates. I guess it was pure luck.

Horrible example, for the gold back vanity it wasn't a "random" selection for who recieved them and who did not.

Giving away crate keys and combo elix should not be random because some of player might or could be sad because they didnt got theyre crate keys and Yes i did not got my crate keys and its not test its insulting

Ouch harsh words..and it was random. I'm sure there was certain criteria that needed to be met to even be considered for the pool of players that were chosen..however from that point
Some randomness had to take place because not every single plat using,lock popping, vet account owning, heavy event contributor got them

I think He/She is saying that the gold back vanities weren't given to players randomly like how these crate keys and combo lix's were given. Back vanity were gifted specifically to players who had old accounts and played AL from the beginning, hence the reason why they're "veteran" vanity.

The lix and keys seem to be given out of pure random luck..

Lol ikr, it's stated very clearly random players received keys and in the future everyone will get some ,so uhm be pateint calm down don't have to be like the Jones next door .
By the way I didn't receive any keys as well.

random? i dont think so. i do agree with the certain criteria part.
my account is haloween 2013 and yet i didnt receive any gold shield or books, because the criteria is for people who open their account from jan 2013. my point still stand some got them some didnt, maybe those who didnt get "crate keys" didnt meet the criteria just like how i missed out on my free vanity.
