So it's about time that the Cryostar Boss came. From my experiences of fighting the boss, here are a few tips that will help u when you are fighting this damage sponge:
1.Mark of Death- While you are fighting this boss, you might end up being the unlucky fellow to be marked for death. Don't panic it isn't that bad. All you have to do is go up to the plant and use it to get rid of the mark. Just make sure that the enemies aren't near the plant or you won't be able to pick it up.
2.Healing Orbs- When you get the health down to 25%, the 2 healing orbs will spawn. Don't worry about those yet until you are done taking out all of the mobs first because while it may delay the Cryostar's inevitable death by a few minutes,it won't cause any more mobs to spawn while you are taking down its health again until you get the Cryostar's health down even lower.
3. Weapons- I found the Dragon Hunter Staff to be the absolute best mage weapon to deal damage with against this boss. Its DoT proc deals about 18.75% or 20% of enemy health (in total per proc) so it can take down the boss health faster than the Flame Forged staff though you need to be careful with the proc because if you have it proc on the boss too early, there will be too many enemies to handle (usually too many in elite version),but I also recommend having a Flame Forged Staff as well to deal with the ungodly big swarms of enemies that you might have made. For Rogues, the Dragon Hunter Daggers sure help out because of its spreading electricity and will help against the enemies that spawn as you fight the Cryostar. For Warriors, the Glintstone Aegis is of course the best one because of its shield helping the tanks survive even longer and the impressive AoE it is capable of.
4. Enemies- As you get the boss health down, enemies will spawn based on how low the boss health is. Be sure to take em out while you fight the boss so that you and your team doesn't get overwhelmed.
5.Lightning- At like about 15% health, the boss will do a last stand and unleash a volley of lightning that looks the same as if a million tiny ants were getting banished. Don't worry they don't actually banish they just take away a chunk of your health (it is ultra deadly in elite though because just 2 of those can kill a mage). Just try to stay back, unleash as many shields as possible (preferably Arcane Shield,Horn of Renew's shield, possibly Nekro's shield, and Scorch's shield) and just unleash your volley of attacks onto the boss.
Anyways that's all I have. I hope this helped out a bit!
