    You know, you are going to Cornell; you are a bright kid (gifted and hardworking I bet); lastly, the suffering you endured only made you the person you are, so don't look at it as an impediment but rather a source of motivation.

    There are two ways to look an any grim situation: 1) You pity yourself and constantly try to look for affection and comfort or 2) You stand the _ _ _ _ up and fight towards a healthy lifestyle.

    I know it may be too early to say, but I think you are incredibly lucky. And I am luckier than you are. We are still living and breathing and that's all I have to say.
