You didn't mentioned for what so i suggested best solution. Derail isn't speak your opinion. Since you asked for survivability you playing mage then shield come in mind automatically.
Please next time maybe make post clear.
Typos happens. I use keyboard with dictionary to typing faster and it change words sometimes. And yes English is my second language. I learned it by my self since i don't have this language in school. Others don't have problems with that oh and by the way I'm sure of what i saying

It really depends on your build.
1) Do you have passive armor points? If yes, then diamond jewels become more useful since their value is increased
2) Do you use Gale Force as one of your skills? If so, then the armor buff becomes stronger with diamond jewels.
3) Do you use lifegiver with the health regen upgrade? If so, then having more health is likely better and then nature jewels would be better.
4) If you don't use lifegiver, or your lifegiver is weak because you don't use the health regen upgrade, or your damage is low (causing lifegiver to be weak), then having more health may not be so useful. Remember that if lifegiver cannot heal you all the way to 100% health, then you have more health than is useful, and then I would add some armor instead -- that is unless you only do PvE and then you can always use potions instead.
debuffs will always override a buff of the same type. I'm sure there's no debuff for health
The balance of nature & diamonds is very tricky for both mages and rogues with bows.
Based on all your gears & jewels & passive points (durable), you will need to run tests on elite maps to figure out what you need. I personally use elite rengol as my test ground.
I always prefer a slightly more survivability set up rather then a higher dmg set up. Higher dmg will get you killed outright if you pug a lot. My mage has: 5928 hp, 994.60 dmg & 1780 armor (without pet, with tavern housing buff). I find this sufficient to take a bomb hit in elite rengol & have time to spam pots to replenish the lost health.
I use a combo of noble nature & diamonds, 3-4 each i do not remember exactly. Hope this helps.
Note: Do not be the noob with super dmg to flaunt in towns. Be the noob who can stand his ground in elite maps (underhul excluded).
Since you use gale, assuming that you have the +50% armor upgrade, then I would go with diamond jewels. They will be that much more powerful. The cool down for gale is 5.5 seconds, and it lasts 4 seconds. Assuming it takes a second to recast, then about 60% of the time your diamond jewels will count an extra 50%. So instead of +26 armor for a noble diamond jewel, it will be +39 for 4 out of every 6-7 seconds.
A good pet would be arcane deary because of the big armor buff. Everyone complained early on about arcane deary having a useless AA, but now you can change that out for a different pet's AA while still getting the nice arcane deary happiness bonus. For example, I have George's AA on my arcane deary -- very useful at bosses as it has a 100% stun rate.

Even though your math may be correct, what you are talking over here is not practical. You have assumed a situation of a mage using charged gale continuously in order to keep his armor levels high. This is not possible esp in hard elite maps. I do not know any mages using charged gale in elite fights & those who may have perfected it, well respect to them.
I would therefore go for fixing core stats rather then doing partial fix & relying on buffs from skills, pets or pet aa. These kinda buffs should be treated as bonuses & not be considered when trying to fix core stas esp when its via jewel combinations. If mm or arc deary is tired, you lose the armor buff. .....then what? Not everyone feeds pets on a regular basis.
Just my thoughts .
Well I have 5.65k hp n 1.65k armor. So which one should I go with?
