Great job digging up all the past announcements and Timeline.
For me, I've just been around for a while to have a vague memory of which set goes with which season (though mainly for mages)
Ya, part of the reason was that the original armors were scaled up in level as cap increases, therefore caused confusion for you.Originally Posted by Greoatef
An easy method to figure out which armor is from which expansion is to seek out the elite/gold chest corresponding to each expansion and view the content within.
For example, elite gold chest is from Brackenridge and rooks nest (season 1), therefore the gears that it contains will be from session one, even if the max level is 21(or whichever)
So for each expansion:
Undead (season 2, dead city )
Pirate (season 3, kraken )
War (season 4,nordar)
Puzzle (season 5,shyrul)
Dragon (season 6, tindrin)
And so on so forth.
This doesn't cover all of them, but you should be able to sort a big portion of them using this
ok thats season one updated as far as the pieces i have .... and season four.
I have sourced some of my missing pieces and found some random armours that need placing, so will update those when i split out season six into six and seven!
Thanks to Eugene i can see where season 7 appears and with my history research i should be able to shuffle things around to fit better. Still not sure what happened to season 7 leaderboard winners as i can find no announcement!!!
Some legendary armours are not unique ... like the seasurge design is used for five different armour lines
I havent included those visually as im lazy, but should log which sets are with each design shortly.
Also some sets have same designs regardless of plate of grace, security, will etc which i have not logged .... because guess what ... errrrmmmm ... im lazy!??! i may do that at some point ... sigh .... if the expansion takes too long and i get bored hehe ... although my "Arlor Cartographer" thread also needs an update

Ao there was a crate at s1 called a founders chest (pretty sure it was) that had the things I remember being called founder sets, there were many names for pieces that looked the same and there was no "set" per say (or accompanying weapon to complete any set)
There were two colors for both class here's the warrior founder.
I gave away my yellow set but here's my blue

Thanks Fidani, i actually have a Wardens helm .... its the armour i am missing also! Initially i thought the Warden Helm was paired with the Guardian Plate ( i am missing the Guardian helmet) as the designs are matching in colours. BUT there are Warden armour sets for classes other than warrior so this is not the case?!!??!
To me it looks like Warden plate would have the same color as Radiant Plate. And yeah I noticed there are both Epic and Legendary Warden armors for rogues, but I don't know much about them since I play from 41 cap.
Fantastic! My fav armor and vanity for warrior is and always will be the orange mythic set with the arcane maul. It represents a time when mythic and Arcane items were extremely rare and the beauty is second to none.

Sealord plate was released in kraken expansion and as far as I know poseidon plate was not released in kraken expansion it was released After kraken expansion.

Thanks for the chest information Eugene??! Of course you are correct to look in the drops from the chests, as some armours and weapons dropped from these chests, while others were mob and boss drops.

Now i can shuffle things around more closely into the correct season. Also by looking at the timeline history i should be able to place the armours a little closer to their chronological order ... as the style of the armour reflects the time of year or event ... winter armours in tarloks winter event for instance etc etc etc.
Also just managed to purchase a Founders Glorious Plate and helm, and a few other pieces, so i can artwork those up and fill in the gaps shortly ...
