Why are 55s farming lvl 43 boss Anubis?
Hi!
One of my favorite levels is "Alien Oasis: Part II - Plasma Pyramid". But I am confused. About 2/3rds of the games active on this level at any given time are level 52+ rushing to Anubis, and they leave right after he dies.
So my question: what are they farming and what's so great about it?

A lot of people use AO2: Plasma Pyramid for a place to farm gold.It's one of the quickest levels to get a lot of gold (fairly speaking).

There's also new Alien Oasis Quest (from the most recent patch) that can be completed at Plasma Pyramid by killing the bosses there.

Anubis drops diary fragments - 20 items for a Mystery item quest....

Ya I think this is it! At least, it's the main reason.
Like Physio said, the reason would be b/c you can make money and do the new AO quests at the same time. Its like a win win situation lol.

Only Anubis drops the item for the quest. People just rush to him, kill him, and remake. His drop rate is also 100%
See this is why i dont get it... people just use the go to button and assume from there on. Did you know that all three bosses, btoxx, ryloxx, and anubis in vicious visitors have a 100% drop rate of diary fragments? My first thought was to try vicious visitors first cuz plasma pyramid doesnt drop rares, and vicious visitors actually drop dark matter and alien blasters ;D

Plasma is quicker though which is why people are doing it.
is it? i would imagine clearing 100 mobs to fight one anubis would be slower than fighting 100 and getting 3 bosses

Rushing Anubis in his first map seems to be most effective. Kill around 40 mobs, in and out in less than 2.5 mins solo.

It's probably quickest to rush Anubis and the alien after him on Visitors since that's roughly how long it'll take to get to Anubis in Plasma. This is solo. The only thing is that Plasma constantly has groups which makes it easier.

yep while i made this quest at plasma i got at least 4-5 pinks lol...

For the new quest, "diary fragments" drop only from Anubis in Plasma - It doesn't work with Anubis in Great Pyramid.
Vicious Visitors. Finished quest in roughly 35 minutes.
