The 2 are not the same thing OP. You get a gift, you either accept it or not. You can't say to the giver, ok thanks but how much can I now sell this for?

The promotion of free content is to celebrate 1 year of PL and the fact it is successful from players playing and happily paying makes that possible. The game doing less well would not have "declared war on high prices"!

I like the gesture, once again cool support from the devs and game is worth every cent imo.
