Who would be opposed to this idea that would basically stop gold farming bots in their tracks?
Only during the reward phase of events that include a gold farming component. Before entering a *gold farming event map of any tier* (no other maps would be included), a randomly generated two digit alpha numeric code would be displayed to the player. Example: "Please enter this code: H9". If the player enters what they were shown correctly, they're dropped into the event map, if not they're dropped into town (which incidentally, would be rather embarrassing if they're "not really there").
There's a lot of gold available from these events, and it takes lots of time and hard work to legitimately farm it. This method would thwart the goals of people who would no longer be able to automatically run these maps 24/7 while they're not actually present.
If entering this two digit code would not be a problem for you on gold farming maps of any tier during events only, please speak up. And likewise, if this is a problem for you, your voice definitely needs to be heard!
Thanks in advance for your time, everyone.
