Haven't played for years, is arcanite supposed to be the most exclusive pet now? If so it should be extremely difficult to obtain (but not purely plat purchaseable imo)
Maybe an arcanite quest that requires a ton of elite grinding, and you can only do it once (choose one of the recipes) would add interest for purely f2p.
I kinda like the randomness and risk of opening arcanite chests, if I could just go and blow 1700 plat in stable or whatever I wouldn't really be interested.
