Optimal lvl 71 gear

Hey guys. I wanted to know what lvl 71 gear was best. Full 6/6 mireguard or Ebon glade helm and armour with three headed hydra belt, swamp ring of force, altar gaurd of force and infested arti of force

You can also try a combination of Ebon Armor + 3 Parts of Mireguard set, and choose the extra 2 items based on the awakes you have.

Overall as in including all maps? I would go for the Arcane items, because you can be sure they are better than Mireguard set in the older areas, new expansion, or PvP.

But Mireguard Set has a bonus in Festerfang (and some other event maps like Swamp Temple Challenge), so it might be the better choice for those situations.

I don't think there's a "best gear" for everywhere. It's best to own everything and change them depending on what you're doing, or just find what works best for you. If you plan to farm Raid zones and Deep Marsh then go for Mireguard set, if you plan to run Mausoleum then get a Nightmare set, if you want to farm low level Elite maps then get a Speed Set, etc.

If I had to choose Lv71 Arcane or Mireguard Set 6/6, personally I would go for Arcane one because Festerfang maps are pretty easy anyway, so I don't see the bonus making a significant difference.

Thanks Fid. Your reply was thorough and informative! I've decided to go 3/6 mire and arcane wep, ring, arti and belt! Hopefully this will give me enough well rounded stats for all maps until expansion!

Might not be a good idea to get mire set now, expansion is coming in the next few months most likely, also it's not needed anyway. I just bought arc armor so not sure if it's worth using yet it's good on mobs but some bosses it's hard to get a proc, keeping my endless set too as it gives best dmg stats still.

Go for a ebon armor for sure! Proc of chest is nasty ( 300% damage and armor + now up to 50% haste?) I saw juggernaut 22s instead of 45 as usual.
