I've always loved that mmo's show me some of the complexities of the world.
What comes to mind is something that has been called the overview effect, astronauts experience this when they see the earth from space.

There are no lines creating countries, just one fragile situation (our entire species) in a vast expanse exposed to the possibility of catistrophic damage.
We're not even one species, we're all of life resisting the void.

Our species is destroying this beautiful planet. One thing I have learned from playing AL..there have been too many generalisations about people from different countries in the media and news. All in all, we all want the same thing..World Peace.
Oh, and I've learned more about geography than I did at school and college.
