Ive thought about these concepts with the game economy in mind-
Locking Awakes = Account Bound
• Once players reach level 71, they are allowed to begin locking awakes
• Awake Locks are sold in store for 250,000 gold per Lock
• Only items fully awakened can use Locks
This creates incentive to spend gold on gear and awakes while not making return profit via reselling or trading, allows for more players to achieve maximum enhancements (Balancing the game between the community), as well as continuing the market of awake gems to thrive while also transforming into a gold sink.
How Locks Would Work
• Once placing a lock onto an awake, the item will become Account Bound permanently (Even if all locks are removed)
• Each slot can be individually locked
• If you break the lock, it will be lost permanently and you will have to buy a new lock
*Gold Loot Cap
• A Gold Loot cap should be implemented to control the amount of gold inflow. More importantly players should not be able to attribute more than 1000.00% Gold Loot (Top gl% can range as far as 700%+ currently). Any enhancements that bring you above the cap will be rendered useless.
Directing concerns about Items/Sets, it’s merely an option to use Locks, allowing the ability to have stronger enhancements. This won’t create an ultimate set as newer and better gear will continue to release, along new and difficult content; they will become obsolete therefore needing to upgrade to better gear and reawakening/locking.
This is a progressive step towards keeping the gold influx and efflux healthy. If this was implemented the community can strive towards focusing on primary content such as Pvp,Pve, and Competition (Leaderboards), while also adjusting the community’s market for the better.
