As a level 48 you are, I don't reccomend you joining a BS game. I have nothing against you and I would let you in a game of mine but some other players disagree with that

I'd wait until at least 50/51 before going there. You'll have so many booting problems at that low of a level, and the level 50 elite pink gear is exponentially better.

but if you're insistent on going there, take a wing/talon so you don't die too much. The level 45 AO2 wings are better than the level 47 AO3 ones. Talons go either way.

My recommendation, level to 50 first. Save yourself countless boots, and lots of deaths I know you're eager, but it'll be worth the wait.

definitely wait till you hit 50 and get better gear. you'll be booted alot and it would be quicker to just do CTK runs or other AO3 runs. only way i would recommend running in sewers is if you have a friend that will let you tag along and pretty much wear the best armor you got and good luck.

I got to admit, I leveled my bird from 48 on in sewers too. I did three test runs with a friend to find out if it's a bad idea, then started joining random games.

As for gear, look for maximum armor. So use talon and wing. Don't wear AO2 stuff visibly. Blue-gold look usually means instant boot. So my choice would be:
    - The helm with best armor you can find, usually AO2, wear a vanity or hide it
    - Raptorhide Armor, ok stats and doesn't look AO2 at all
    - The best talon you have, i found it hard to get a nice affordable talon between 35 and 49
    - AO2 wing shield (mostly better stats than AO3) with vanity shield to hide your colors :-)

Don't get me wrong: even with the best gear available you will get booted a lot. And when you aren't booted, you'll die a lot...

My main advise: Be honest to yourself. When you realize it's too hard there for your char, and you get booted during the game cause you slow down the team too much, go back to AO3 until you are 50 or 51. You will spend way too much time in the same three sewer maps later anyway, so you can enjoy colorful AO3 now.

Many people say talon and shield, but I think that'd draw almost more booting. I'd go with a trueshot bow if you can. Looks almost identical to sewer bows, and has awesome damage as well as a crit buff. Helm - ao2 helm. Vanity to hide it as said by Wally. And a raptor hide armor, whether it be green, purple, or pink.

DEFFINATLEY wait. You go from like the armor of a naked mole rat, to the armor of a walrus. BIG DIFFERENCE. I just got to 50 too.

At 47-49, I would recommend raptorhide + trueshot, but you will use a ton of potions. At 50+ you can never go wrong with sentinel talon set. Just swap out a recurve when you need more damage. Void or Sunblessed Void will get you by just fine in the mean time. Some prefer Custom/Raid, but survivability is lower with superior damage/crit.

Or u can just host your own game and invite friends.
Yesterday on my mage, I was told to leave when I joined a random game as they were doing a sewer run with lvl 52 below people. I found it quite interesting.
You can always look for them in the general discussion area.

Other tips would be to buy elixirs and hiding your stats.

    Enjoy sewers!
