"The Dark Hollow Saga"
Esmi, a merchant princess from Balefort, fell in love with
Juciano, the son of a traveling Enchanter.
Their relationship infuriated both of their families and they were each disowned... banished to the wilds of
Dark Hollow!
But Esmi and Juciano are burgeoning heroes! Inspired by great Alterran Legends (such as you) they have set out to build a new towne on the frontier beyond Dark Hollow.
Unfortunately their effort to bring life-saving supplies to their fledgling city have one terrible obstacle:
The Wytch of the Wood!
The Wytch is a powerful necromancer who claims Dark Hollow valley as hers and hers alone. She will stop at nothing to obliterate the new settlers and their upstart towne.
New ESCORT Scenario!
+ Protect Esmi's supply wagon as she ventures through Dark Hollow's deadly valley!
+ Crush waves of evil skeletons and face "Amok the Armored Troll," the Wytch's top lieutenant.
+ Score points and event tokens if Esmi's wagon reaches the fledgling frontier settlement.
New DEFENSE Scenario!
+ Join Juciano on the frontier and protect the new towne at the edge of Dark Hollow.
+ Defend against a massive onslaught of powerful skeletons... and the "Wytch of the Wood" herself!
+ Score points for every building that survives. Collect tokens for successfully defending the towne.
Other potentially interesting things:
+ Event is balanced for groups at all levels (from 1 to 110)!
+ Host either scenario with a password and get the option to 'Force Start.'
+ Rewards are only granted after the scenario has come to completion.
+ A new currency will be used for this event... but I'm planning to give you a way to buy the new tokens with previous event tokens.
UPDATE
+ This new 'double' event is currently scheduled to begin next Thursday, June 11th at 1:30 Central and end on June 25th (with a 3-day cooldown).
+ The "Dark Hollow Escort" and the "Dark Hollow Defense" scenarios will be available simultaneously with equivalent token and event score rewards.
+ Scoring will be the traditional 'accumulation over time' style as opposed to the 'high score' system we used during the Birthday Gauntlet.
+ Max-level players will be able to earn kills in the event zones.
+ Power pets are not active in the event zones.
+ New vanity armor and helmet designs are still in the works... sorry but no screenshot today as we're still in the midst of very noticeable visual changes :-$
+ A new pet is also in the works - and depending on how the other rewards come together, this pet may offer very little in terms of stats (or possibly none at all).
