sound effects occur despite being turned off

I always play with sound and music turned off. Randomly, the sound effects will turn on and come blasting out of my speakers. I've then checked the settings and the sound effects checkmark is off. I end up having to turn my speakers down. I'm playing on a Motorola Droid 1. I am unable to determine if there is any consistent cause, this has happened in Gorgox fights, Meathead battles and with trash mob battles. Can anyone else provide more information?

What version is your Music Player? It should have headphones for an icon, the old version had a blue speaker. I think PL uses it for sound on androids, and I had this problem before I updated it.

Thanks for the reply, I was using an old version of Music (2.2.2) and didn't even know there was an update. Music beta here I come! If it happens still with the new 3.x version of Music I will post here.
