Instead of seeing how far one can go through the waves, see how quickly one can complete a run. For instance something like hauntlet/gauntlet with 20 rooms and bosses on the 5,10,15,20 rooms or 10 rooms total and bosses on the 5,10 room. Mobs should be scaled to all levels at the same difficulty as hauntlet.
